boiseLandover, Sep 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If one agrees that the Monday night season opening game between Boise State University Broncos and Virginia Tech University team was full of mistakes, penalties and gaffes, then one would also agree to the statement that it was the sheer last minute brilliance of Boise State University Broncos’ quarterback Kellene Moore and receiver Austin Pettis that made it a worth watch. The last minute touchdown pass led the No.5 Boise State University team to register a 33-30 victory over the Virginia Tech University team and moving ahead in the race of the national championship.

During the Monday night game, it was Boise State University team that went for an early lead. The Virginia Tech rushed for 5 yards and failed to coordinate providing the opponent with the opportunity to the Boise State football team to score two touchdowns. However, it was in the third quarter with around 6:34 minutes left that Virginia Tech team took a 21-20 lead with a 1-yard touchdown run by Ryan Williams. However, the Boise State fought back in an amazing manner with D.J. Harper sprinting 71 yards for a touchdown. The Boise State once again was seen leading with 26-21.

It was the fourth quarter with full of action that made all the difference. The score board remained unstable for most of the quarter with each team leading from time to time. However, with just 1:09 minutes left for the game, the Boise State secured the win by Kellene Moore’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Austin Pettis. However, it was only the first game of the team, and it is looking forward to continue the winning streak till the National Championship.
