Jan 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Charleston coach Bobby Cremins had his share of success in the two decades that he has served as the coach of the Gerogia Tech team. This bit just added on to the list. In the last match on Monday night, College of Charleston surprised everyone when they successfully managed to snatch away a win from the No.9th ranking North Carolina. The score ticked at 82-79 in the overtime.
Andrew Goudelock was instrumental in changing the course of the match as he managed to tie the game with his superb three-pointer. Andrew Goudelock’s three pointer came just at the nick of time with only two seconds left before the regulation. The guard Donovan Monroe also chipped in, scoring five points in the extra period, which helped the Cougars to go ahead by six points in the game and hang around for the final win.
Andrew Goudelock gave the game a perfect finish after scoring the last eight points which included the fadeaway three, from almost about twenty-eight feet. Bobby Cremins’ boys did put up a brilliant show to defeat the hot favorite North Carolina, the team which was securely placed in the ninth position. North Carolina had their share of bad luck, as their starters, Marcus Ginyard and Will Graves could not play due to ankle injuries. North Carolina rather looked very weak with the key players missing and they missed some crucial opportunities. Bobby Cremins, who feels basketball is in his blood, has done his bit to resurrect the College of Charleston team with his experience and knowledge.
