Texas, July 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Blake Beavan could not resist the offer from the Texas Rangers. Reports claim that Blake Beavan was so happy when he got a call from the Texas Rangers that it was time for him to bid farewell to his high school days. The 6′7″ player says that college was always an option in his life but when it comes to profession it is always baseball that he had wanted to make a career in. So the man who holds the no.17 slot in the 2007 Amateur Baseball Draft is now a Texas Rangers.
Blake Beavan has been living in Texas since his childhood. Looking at the Ballpark in Arlington, the pitcher had once day-dreamt about playing on the same field. Blake Beavan himself says that it was his dream to play for the Texas Rangers. Now when the team itself has given the right-handed pitcher a call, it is no less than a dream come true for him. Blake Beavan says that he did not think twice before signing the deal with the Texas Rangers’, which also means that the baseball player will no longer be seen playing for Oklahoma, where he had planned to start his career from after the end of his junior year at high school.
Blake Beavan says that what makes him so happy is the fact that he has grown up in Texas, seeing the team from close quarters helped a kind of attachment develop right from his school days. Blake Beavan will now be playing for his home town, and with time may also progress to the big league matches.
