Dec. 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The fight between UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn and the challenger Diego Sanchez had been quite an exciting episode and the audience witnessed some brilliant skills exhibited by the champion to retain his title. Both Diego Sanchez and BJ Penn are known for their exceptional fighting skills but BJ Penn, who is the champion of this art, implemented some better strategies and turned the final decision of the match in his favor.

Diego Sanchez had started the fight well and put up some good strokes in the match. He made straight attack on BJ Penn and tried to hit him severely so that he can take the command of the match. However, his efforts to become the champion of the match and defeat BJ Penn remained unfulfilled as he failed to do any substantial damage to the champion wrestler.

Though both of them are good wrestlers and have won several matches earlier, the difference lay in their strategies. The strategies used by BJ Penn was far better than Diego Sanchez and so he never fell on his feet. Diego Sanchez only used his muscle power but the defending champion defeated him not only on muscle power but also on mental power. While Diego Sanchez kept on attacking BJ Penn and fought with him, BJ Penn waited for his opportunities to score and made the best use of them, which helped him retain his title of champion. After the match, BJ Penn told that though he wanted to fight with the challenger, he controlled himself and attacked only at the right time.
