Bishop Kenneth Moales dies at the age of 65 years

Sep 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The founder of the Prayer Tabernacle Church, now Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Kenneth Moales has died of heart attack on Monday.

Moales was just a day short of turning 65 years, when he died. He will be remembered by friends, family and colleagues as someone with exemplary spirituality and leadership qualities.

The administrative pastor at the Cathedral described Moales’s life as a shining example to the young people at his community.

Moales who was also a major national figure in the Pentecostal church in the United States was installed as the Presiding Prelate of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in 1995 and also served on the executive board of the Joint College of African American Pentecostal Bishops. He was also named as the president of the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses in 1993.

Moales long list of achievements include induction into the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Moales began singing at the church choir at the age of 7 years.

He founded the Prayer Tabernacle Churches in 1969 at the age of 21 years. The church began as a storefront ministry in 1969, but has grown into a great place of worship over the years.
