Birmingham eyeing to breach Arsenal’s ‘weak’ defence in Carling Cup final

Arsenal London, Feb 25(ANI): Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome has said that his team can beat Arsenal in Sunday’s Carling Cup final because of their “weak” defence.

“If Arsenal have a weak point it’s the back four and the goalkeeper. Their midfield and attacking options are phenomenal. They are great at keeping the ball and as comfortable with it as anyone,” the Sun quoted Jerome, as saying.

“If we can play our game, I’m sure we can cause plenty of problems physically - especially getting at the back four and the goalkeeper,” he added.

The 24-year-old further said that Birmingham would treat Arsene Wenger’s Gunners with respect, but would not stand back to watch their football.

“A strong point of their game is counter-attacking, so we’ll have to be aware of that. But we must stick to our game. We have to be physical and match them and not stand off them and admire them,” Jerome said.

“It will be a battle on Sunday, but we’ve got the players with experience like Stephen Carr, Barry Ferguson and others who can lead us,” he added. (ANI)
