Bhullar finishes tied 20th in Indonesia
April 24th, 2011 - 8:59 pm ICT by IANSJakarta, April 24 (IANS) Gaganjeet Bhullar emerged as the top Indian at the Indonesia Masters despite a par round of 72 on the final day. The 23-year-old Indian totaled five-under 283 to finish tied 20th in the $750,000 event here Sunday.
Meanwhile, Lee Westwood, celebrated his 38th birthday by winning the title for his first win this year. In case Luke Donald, also from England like Westwood, does not win the Heritage Tournament in US, Westwood will become World No. 1.
Sujjan Singh (74) was tied 37th at even par, and other Indians Amandeep Johl (72) was tied 55th and Digvijay Singh (71) was tied 60th.
Westwood, who had a break after 17 holes because of lightning, shot a solid three-under-par 69 for a 19-under-par 269. Thai Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand fired a flawless 65 to settle for second while Asian Tour newcomers Park Hyun-bin of Korea and Thitiphun Chuayprakong of Thailand shared third place with Bangladesh’s Siddikur and Australian Marcus Both at 275.
