London, August 20 (ANI): Lynne, David Beckham’s sister, wept in court after her violent boyfriend was jailed for harassing his former partner.
Kevin Briggs, 37, was given five months for bombarding his ex with foul-mouthed calls four days after being freed from prison. He had been jailed for breaching a court order warning him to stay away from charity worker Lisa Gilbey.
After hearing mum-of-three Lynne, 38, of Romford, Essex, defended her boyfriend.
“There’s a lot of nasty things said about Kevin but none of it’s true. I’m not going to see him for months,” the Sun quoted Lynne as saying.
During the hearing at East London’s Snaresbrook Crown Court, Briggs admitted breaching a restraining order.
Judge Tudor Owen told him: “You have a proven history of violence, threats and disobedience to court orders.” (ANI)
