London, Sep.8 (ANI): England football star David Beckham has said that Notts County and their coach Sven Goran Ericksson are yet to approach him with an offer to play for the team.
Becks rocked back then laughed heartily, but it was not an unreasonable inquiry.”No, I haven’t spoken to Sven for a while,” The Sun quoted Beckham, as saying.Eriksson will have to wait if he wants Becks aboard his multi-million pound revolution.
Beckham, 34, knows he must be playing top-level football in January to have a chance of being in Fabio Capello’s World Cup 23.
He has said in the past he wants to keep playing for his country until he is 50 and, with 113 caps, has Peter Shilton’s 125-cap record in his sights. (ANI)
