London, Jan.4 (ANI): Newcastle FC coach Alan Pardew does not want former England international David Beckham, claiming the England superstar is too slow.
The Toon chief, who will hold a transfer summit with club owner Mike Ashley onTuesday, but taking Beckham on a loan will not be on his wish list, The Sun reports.
Pardew declared: “I would like more dynamic speed in the team and that wouldn’t be David Beckham. He wouldn’t be somebody on our list. People are suggesting we are in the market for him because I said I wanted an offensive player. We have targets elsewhere with more chance of fruition.”
“There’s a need for some athletic, speedy players, especially in wide areas to give us something different,” he added. (ANI)
