David Beckham London, July 25 (ANI): American soccer bosses have fined David Beckham for his outburst at abusive fans during a friendly match between LA Galaxy and AC Milan.

The Sun quoted MLS commissioner Don Garber, as saying: “Our players should never engage in conduct that can be interpreted as encouraging fans to come on to the field.”

But the 600-pounds punishment from Major League Soccer is equivalent to just 13 minutes’ work for 25 million pounds-a-year, which Beckham earns.

The former England captain was booed throughout last Sunday’s home coming match by Galaxy supporters, who were angry that Becks spent five months on loan with the Italians last term.

Beckham walked towards abusive fans, challenged them to meet him on the pitch and tried to lift himself over advertising boards before security intervened.

Police arrested a supporter who left the stands.

Beckham plays for LA Galaxy in Kansas City tonight, with Wizards fan Jeff Szajnuk promising: “He’ll have a bunch of chants coming.” (ANI)
