London, Oct 14(ANI): Former German tennis star Boris Becker has reportedly expressed his desire to revive British men’s tennis from its dreadful state.
According to the Daily Mail, Becker has already held talks with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) about the possibility of him taking a prominent role in developing new stars in the country.
The 42-year-old is said to have expressed interest in the part-time role of men’s coach vacated by American Paul Annacone, who has left the LTA to work with Roger Federer.
The six-time Grand Slam champion was earlier this week seen practicing at the National Tennis Centre with 17-year-old George Morgan, regarded as one of Britain’s brighter prospects.
Currently, the second player in the rankings behind World no 4 Andy Murray is Alex Bogdanovic, at 227. (ANI)
