Nov. 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This week’s BCS football rankings were eagerly awaited. The polls seemed to be more anticipated than usual, particularly because there was the promise that they would feature a lot of changes in the rankings. Many of the teams were likely to get shocked by the changes in their positions. There was also the possibility that some team would find their way out of the ranks while some may just find themselves featuring in it.

Week 10 AP rankings saw a number of changes too. The only team to retain it’s position was the Florida Gaotrs. They had been in the number one spot and did not budge an inch in this week’s polls. There have been shifts in the rankings in general, but the changes in the top 10 are the most noteworthy. They are likely to majorly affect the outlook for college football in the next matches. The teams were judged on the basis of their performance in the matches held last week. There is the possibility that the AP rankings have affected the BCS rankings big time.

The top 25 teams in the BCS rankings for last week were in for a shock. Almost all of them were given new positions, and some were nowhere to be found on the list. Some new teams were seen who were hitherto never on the list before. The list seemed spooky an unfair to most of the teams, as six of those who had been in the top 25 last week were ousted by formerly lower ranking opponents. The teams holding the top seven positions are, however, still holding on to their crowns.
