BCS National Championship Will Clash Auburn And Oregon

auburnDec 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Much to the anticipation of several fans, The Auburn Tigers finally made it to the BCS National Championship 2011. The match will take place on January 10, 2011, between the Auburn Tigers and the Oregon Ducks. Yesterday, the Auburn Tigers defeated the South Carolina in the SEC title game, with a final score of 56-17, while the Oregon Ducks defeated the Oregon State, with 37-20.

The Auburn Tigers are extremely excited to make their way to Glendale with the no.1 rank. Pat Dye, who coached during Auburn’s heyday said, this is what the team has exactly wanted in the 80s, but they finally materialized the dream this time. According to him, this was the most unbelievable season they have ever had. This is for the first time in the history of the school, that the Auburn Tigers have made it to the BCS National Championship. Auburn athletics director Jay Jacobs said, that the 2004 team has been the best team in its history so far. They consider them as the champions. Now, they have also started counting this team as one too. He is very excited about clashing with the Oregon Ducks at the final in January. Right now, the Auburn stand at no.1 in the BCS power ranking, followed by Oregon.

The Oregon Ducks got a total of 500 yards against their rivals in the latter part of the second quarter. On the other hand the Tigers finished with 589 yards of offense against South Carolina, with the competency of Cam Newton, who threw 335 yard, ran 73 yards and made six touchdowns all by himself.
