Basketball legend Michael Jordan inducted into Hall of Fame
September 15th, 2009 - 1:14 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sept 15 (ANI): Basketball legend Michael Jordan has been awarded a place in the sport’s Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The 46-year-old star, who officially retired from the NBA in 2003, was inducted in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for his great B-ball career spanning 15 years, which saw him bag 10 championship titles with the Chicago Bulls.
An ecstatic and emotional Jackson said in his acceptance speech that he never considered himself to be the best player.
“When people say I was the greatest ever, I cringe a little. I never played against Jerry West, Elgin Baylor or Wilt Chamberlain. To say I’m better than those people is not for me to decide,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying. (ANI)
