Baseball Star Rafael Palmeiro Denies Consuming PEDs

Much to the shock of his fans in 2005, Rafael Palmeiro has been accused of taking drugs during his career as a baseball player. Palmeiro then, had been tested positive for the performance oriented drug that was banned among athletes. He was recently inducted in the in the College Baseball Hall Of Fame at Lubbock, Texas on Friday.
On this induction issue, he was interviewed by the ESPN where the controversy regarding PED resurfaced.
Palmeiro maintained his stand by declaring that he had not consumed any such PED. Trying to defend his stand once over again, Palmeiro was quoted saying to the ESPN, “I’ve heard a lot of things out there that are wrong. People saying i took drugs all my life, I’ve never touched anything. I worked my butt off my whole career, as a kid, in college, the big leagues, I didn’t need anything. I didn’t have to cheat at the end of my career, for what? What was I going to gain from it? Whatever I took was tainted, had to have been. There’s no other reason I got set up.” He also added, “What I took was a B-12 [vitamin] that was given to me by a teammate. That’s it. That was it.”
45 year old Rafael Palmeiro Corrales has been a celebrated baseball player. This Cuban born player who started his career in 1986, has made 3000 hits and 500 home runs in his playing career making him one of the four players in history to achieve such a mounting score. Though haven’t yet declared his retirement, Rafael Palmeiro has not been playing since 2005.
