Barcelona to sign Robinho on six million-pound loan
November 10th, 2009 - 6:03 pm ICT by ANILondon, Nov 10(ANI): Spanish football giants Barcelona are close to having a deal with Manchester City over its striker Robinho.
The deal to transfer the Brazilian is expected in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, where City’s CEO Garry Cook, Barcelona representatives, Robinho’s father and the player’s commercial manager Chris Nathaniel will be present.
Barcelona is expected to sign Robinho on a loan during the January transfer window for a 6 million pound ‘arrangement fee’, with a view to a permanent switch in the summer.
“It is looking highly likely Robinho will get his move. Barcelona are very keen,” The Sun quoted a source close to Robinho, as saying.
The 25-year-old has made 32 Premier League appearances and scored 14 goals for the Reds, but an ankle injury has kept him on the sidelines for major part of the season. (ANI)
