Barcelona sign Arsenal midfielder

Moscow, Aug 19 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Barcelona have bought Arsenal midfielder Alex Song for 19 million euros, the Spanish football club said.
Song signed a five-year deal Saturday.
“FC Barcelona and Arsenal FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alex Song for 19 million euros,” Barcelona said in a statement.
“The player will sign a contract for the next five seasons with a release clause of 80 million.”
Song, 24, moved to Arsenal from French side Bastia in 2006, and made 204 appearances during his time in North London, scoring 10 times. He has earned 30 caps since debuting for Cameroon in 2005.
