Bowling Green, Kentucky, Dec. 07, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Fort Thomas Highland on Saturday won the match against the John Hardin team that made them the winner of the state title for three consecutive turns. Though every player of the Highland team contributed for this win, outstanding performance of Austin Collinsworth gave the team the win they wanted.
Dale Mueller, the coach of the Fort Thomas Highlands team was satisfied with the way his team played in the match and specially appreciated the match winning performance of the young player Austin Collinsworth. Praising Cris Collinsworth’s son, Austin Collinsworth, the coach referred him as ‘a phenomenal player’. Austin Collinsworth was pleased after the win as he had missed four matches and was also playing with a thumb injury in this match. Though Austin Collinsworth had several injuries in this season, he was in a great form for the match against John Hardin. He had picked up the momentum from the initial stage of the game and never lost his control on the game throughout.
In this match, he had scored three touchdowns and ran for one hundred and seventy-six yards, that added to the score of his team and made it difficult for the John Hardin team to refrain Highlands from winning the match. The final score of the match recorded 35-7 and declared Highlands as the winner of the game. It also showed that the defense of the team had also played well in the game and restricted the players of John Hardin to a score of seven. With this win, the Fort Thomas Highlands team received the State title for the nineteenth time.
