austin-collie-injuryNov 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The wide receiver of Indianapolis Colts, Austin Collie, got injured in the match against the Philadelphia Eagles, to put his team in soup for the rest of the matches. The player reportedly suffered from the injury in the second quarter of yesterday’s game, when he got into head-to-head collision with Kurt Coleman, of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Indianapolis Colts coach, Jim Caldwell said that he is under reasonably better condition right now, and expects him to resume the next game. Immediately after the collision, Austin Collie was seen lying on the ground for quite some time, to create a whole lot of anxiety for his team mates and the fans of Indianapolis Colts. He had to be taken off the field in a stretcher, during the second quarter of the match. Jim Caldwell refused to give any more details about the injury and just revealed that it was a serious one, as he became unconscious in the field itself for quite a long period of time. In the lockers room, the player underwent a further test and evaluation which revealed that he was simply concussed, but the good part was he was alert and okay after some time.

Nevertheless, the game moved on with a cut throat competition. Michael Vick’s return was marked with his amazing performance where threw the ball with a 93.7 passer rating and ran 74 yards on the ground quite efficiently. However, at the end, it was Peyton Manning’s two interceptions to Asante Samuel, that finally marked the victory of the Philadelphia Eagles against the Indianapolis Colts, with a marginal victory of 26-24.
