Aussies to tour Pak in 2009, 2010 to help PCB make up for losses

Sydney, Apr 21 (ANI): To help the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) make up for the financial loss after it cancelled its tour scheduled for last month, the Cricket Australia (CA) has announced that its team will tour Pakistan twice in 2009 and the again in 2010.

In April-May 2009 the Aussies will tour to Pakistan to play five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 international after playing in South Africa, announced CA chairman, Creagh O’Connor.

“We’re pleased to have reached agreement to travel to Pakistan to complete the postponed matches and to play in them in Australia as agreed under the Future Tours Program,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted O’Connor as saying.

Thereafter, the Kangaroos will return to Pakistan in August-September 2010, to play three Test matches, with final dates and venues to be decided, added OConnor.

The PCB has also confirmed its tour to Australia in 2009-10 for three Tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 internationals. (ANI)
