Aussies dished out plenty during ODI series against India: Sreesanth

Melbourne, Dec.4 (ANI): If injured Indian fast bowler Sreesanth is to be believed, the Ricky Ponting-led Australian team that toured India in October this year for a seven-match one-day series, did not hold back in on-field verbal spats with the hosts.
The Australian quoted the Kerala-based seamer as saying that “I didn’t do anything close to what the Australians did. I don’t want to name any cricketer. But it is just not I; everyone knows who does what on the field.
“Most of them are questioning me of showing youngsters the wrong way to behave but I learned from what I watched on the screen,” he added.
Sreesanth said he was just being himself during the series.
“What’s the worst that can happen - six sixes? Well I’m not really worried about that. Whatever I do on the field I do from the core of my heart; I don’t act. This is the way I have played cricket all my life,” he said.
Sreesanth said he wasn’t concerned about any possible backlash from Australian crowds because of his outlandish antics.
“I think people are forgetting in the last series I was the highest wicket-taker (for India) even though I played just four out of the seven matches. If that means I am all sound and no fury, they’ll come to know very soon what I am. And I’m sure they’ve tasted a bit of it,” he said. (ANI)
