Aussie motocross riders 100m world record jump!January 1st, 2008 - 5:35 pm ICT by admin
Melbourne, Jan 1 (ANI): An Australian motocross rider has created a new record after jumping almost 100m in Las Vegas.
In spite of facing a slight headwind, Robbie Maddison made two successful jumps in the car park of the Rio casino.
Both his jumps, the first at 98.15m and the second at 97.54m, broke the previous world record of 84.43 metres set by Trigger Gumm in 2005 in Australia.
“I’m just starting to realise what I did,” News.com.au quoted Maddison, as saying.
“Conditions weren’t in my favour with the wind, he added.
Daredevil Maddison landed in perfect control on both attempts, sailing over a drawn-in football field and coming down on a large dirt landing area.
“It’s incredible. This is just my life, this is what I’ve done, this is what I’ve worked so hard for and I just did it, he said. (ANI)
