Auburn, Sep 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Auburn University reserved triumph over Arkansas State on Saturday night with quarterback Cameron Newton leading its team to victory. Owing to the stunning performance that the former Florida Gators player displayed, his team Auburn University was able to clinch Saturday’s showdown with 52-26.
As the game between Auburn University and Arkansas State unfolded on Saturday night, Cameron Newton appeared to be in full control as he went on to run for 177 yards, two touchdowns as well as 186 yards which made sure that his team is able to emerge victorious fulfilling the expectations of its large number of fans. At halftime, the score stood at 35-16 as the crowds gathered at the venue cheered boisterously during the second quarter when the Auburn University quarterback was able to register a 71-yard touchdown run. The expertise with which Cameron Newton played for his team during Saturday night’s game made it hard to believe that the quarterback was making his debut with Auburn University. However, the player ensured that his team dominated the opponents throughout the game which was the season opener for both the schools.
While talking about his impressive feat during the match, Cameron Newton later told the media that he was setting in the game as it gradually proceeded while also pointing out that there were numerous occasions during the showdown with Arkansas State when he thought that he could easily make plays with his feet. Meanwhile as for the Arkansas State, the players who were still able to keep their team up for the challenge in last night’s game was Ryan Aplin, Dwayne Frampton, among others.
