huffJan 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Giants were in a precarious position as they lacked a good left-handed hitter. The suitable person considered by the Giants to step in as a left-handed hitter is Aubrey Huff. The giants have entered into a one year contract with the free agent, Aubrey Huff. The reports of the deal between Aubrey Huff and the Giants can prove to be a fruitful one, as Aubrey Huff is a player with some potential. Aubrey Huff is a .282 career hitter, who has 203 home runs in his kitty. He can also claim of 752 RBIs in 10 seasons with the Rays, Orioles, Astros and Tigers. The last season for Aubrey Huff did not go well as he had a career low .241 with 15 homers. He garnered 85 RBIs in 150 games for Baltimore and Detroit.

Aubrey Huff is expected to step in and occupy the first base, while Pablo Sandoval will play third and the left will be in complete charge of Mark DeRosa. The benefit that the Giants will have now with the inclusion of Aubrey Huff in the team is that he had played in multiple positions before. The experience which he gathered can help the team a lot in improving their game, as well as help him put in his best. However, Aubrey Huff needs to work more in consolidating his position in the third base as he lacks good tactics in that sphere.

Brian Sabean, the general manager of the Giants stated that he was on the lookout for a good left-handed hitter to balance the strong line-up of the right-handers like DeRosa, Aaron Rowand and the like. Aubrey Huff aptly fits the bill.
