bravesAtlanta, May 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Three of the team members of the Atlanta Braves have been suspended for regularly using an illegal sports drug. The three had to undergo drug tests, and it was revealed that they tested positive for the performance enhancement drug called amphetamine. The three players are Amadeo Zazueta, the shortstop, Albaro Campusano, the second baseman, and Geraldo Rodriguez, the first baseman of the team. All the three players are members of the single-A Myrtle Beach of the California League, where they play as infielders. Needless to say, the incident has not come as a very good news for the team, considering that all three players were key members of the team.

Amadeo Zazueta, Albaro Campusano and Geraldo Rodriguez have all been prohibited from taking part in the next fifty games that the Atlanta Braves would play in the season. The suspension is going to come pretty heavily on the Atlanta Braves, considering that they would be forced to bench three of the most prolific players in the team, not to mention that the situation would continue for 50 games in a row. The suspension order came into effect on Friday, May 20.

By regularly using the amphetamine drug, the three players of the team violated the rules of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. However, whole on the one hand the suspension comes as bad news for the team, it is also likely to cause a major issue in the future prospects of the three players. Moreover, it is also going to be a big black spot on the image of the team.
