Assembly polls force IPL organisers to tweak schedule
March 17th, 2011 - 8:59 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 17 (IANS) The forthcoming assembly elections have prompted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to tweak the schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting April 8.
The IPL chairman Chirayu Amin, in a statement Thursday, said they have made some changes in the 2011 schedule taking into account the assembly elections.
“The revised media accreditation forms will be sent out to media soon. The media persons who have already applied for accreditation will be contacted separately by IPL’s accreditation team,” Amin said.
“The deadline for submission has been extended by two days — 6:00 p.m. on Friday, 25 March 2011,” it added.
