Asian Games cycling: India’s Mahita and Pana finish 20th and 26th
November 23rd, 2010 - 12:31 pm ICT by IANSGuangzhou, Nov 23 (IANS) Indian cyclists Mahita Mohan and Pana Chaudhary finished 20th and 26th in the women’s individual road race at the Asian Games here Tuesday.
Mahita, India’s lone medal hope in the women’s competition, clocked two hours 47 minutes 51.71 seconds while Pana had a timing of 2:48:41.75 secs to finish last in the 100km race.
Mei Yu Hsiao of Chinese Taipei won the gold with a timing of 2:47:46.12 secs and the silver went to Indonesia’s Santia Tri Kususma with a timing of 2:47:46.52 secs. Na Zhao of China recorded 2:47:46.63 secs to secure the bronze.
Indian men had finished poorly in their individual race Monday.
