Asian Champions Trophy: Indian eves lose 0-4 to China
September 8th, 2011 - 8:24 pm ICT by IANSOrdos (China), Sep 8 (IANS) India were outplayed by China 0-4 in the Asian Women’s Champions Trophy hockey tournament here Thursday.
The goal scorers for China were Zhao Yudiao (6th and 66th min) and Ma Yibo (21st and 65th min).
India lost their earlier matches in the round robin league to Japan and South Korea and finished at the bottom in the group stage. They engage Japan in the play-off for the bronze medal aturday.
The final of the four-nation event will be played between Asian Games champions China and South Korea.
India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan Friday in the simultaneously held Asian Men’s Champions Trophy.
