Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), April 19 (IANS) An artist here will celebrate Sachin Tendulkar’s birthday by creating a 1,500-foot long painting of the batting maestro, working on it non-stop for 38 hours.
“I would start (working on) the painting April 22 at 4 p.m. and finish it single-handedly on Sachin’s birthday April 24,” Raj Kapoor Chitera, 26, a noted sand artist, told reporters Tuesday in Allahabad, some 200 km from Lucknow.
“Though I prefer making sand sculptures, this time for a change, I decided to display my skills on a canvas. Moreover, going by the massive size of the painting, I opted for the canvas painting,” added Chitera.
