Arsenal’s next four games crucial for Wenger

London, Jan 27 (ANI): Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that the next four games would be toughest of his career at the club.
The Gunners travel to Aston Villa tonight before facing Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea in a run of matches that will help decide their Premier League destiny this season.
Wenger insists there will be no safety-first policy as his side bid to reclaim top spot from rivals United at Villa Park.
“There is always another way to play but our way is to score goals. Our goal difference speaks well for us,” The Sun quoted Wenger, as saying.
“I have never known a run of four league games as significant as these. Never in all my time here, not four on the trot. If we win them all we are in a very strong position, for sure. But let’s start with the first one and ignore all of the others,” he said.
Wenger picked out his side’s 2-1 comeback victory at Liverpool in mid-December when Andrey Arshavin hit the winner and the 3-0 triumph over Villa a fortnight later as turning points in the Gunners’ season.
“Before Liverpool, we had not won big games. We didn’t win against Chelsea at home, we didn’t win at Manchester City or Manchester United,” Wenger said.
“Even if we felt we should have won, we didn’t and it was in the head of the players. But we did it at Liverpool, we beat Villa and we overcame something in our head. It shows immense mental strength to come back.
“I believe there are moments in the season where you have decisive wins. They are important for the belief in the team,” he added. (ANI)
