London, July 30 (ANI): Arsenal legend Ian Wright has claimed that the club is considering re-signing Patrick Vieira on a pay-as-you-play deal.
Vieira, available on a free transfer from Inter Milan, has already been approached by Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham.
But speaking on his talksport radio show, Wright said: “I’m hearing Vieira, pay-as-you-play, back at Arsenal. That’s what I’m hoping.”
Former captain Vieira is a regular fan at Arsenal games, the Daily Express reports.
Meanwhile, Gunners’ striker Eduardo says the club face a real battle to mount a title bid this season now Kolo Toure has joined Emmanuel Adebayor at Manchester City.
Croatian Eduardo said: “It will be hard, really hard. But our main goal must be to stay in the top four.” (ANI)
