Arlington Gearing Up To Host Super Bowl 2011

Arlington, Jan 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Cowboys Stadium in Arlington in the U.S. state of Texas is the place to be on February 6 when the 45th edition of the Super Bowl would be taking place. Thousands of football fans are expected to throng the stadium on the fateful day when the AFC champions Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFC champions Green Bay Packers take on each other in a bid to taste victory and earn the prestigious title.
The residents of the Dallas- Fort Worth are surely going to be in for a treat during the grand showdown between the two champions as Super Bowl is being held in the area for the very first time. The Pittsburgh Steelers reserved a place for themselves in the much-coveted Championship after they convincingly defeated the New York Jets 24-19 in the AFC game that was held on Sunday. Earlier during the day, the dreams of the Chicago Bears to enter the Super Bowl were shattered when they were ousted by their opponents the Green Bay Packers by 21-14 in the NFC championship game. In the showdown that is scheduled to take place on February 6, the two teams are sure to showcase their indomitable spirit to win and dictate the game to materialize their dream of winning the ultimate prize.
The city of Arlington is going to resemble a festive look early next month as football fanatics from all across the nation would be converging in the Texas city to the 45th edition of the Super Bowl championship. During the gala event, Christina Aguilera would be singing the national anthem while Black Eyed Peas would be giving a stellar performance during halftime.
