Arizona State Sun Devils’ Coach Speaks About Win

asuSep 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night, at Sun Devil Stadium marked the opening of the Arizona State football season 2010. The Arizona State Sun Devils football team and Portland State played against each other at the opening match of the season 2010. Arizona State Sun Devils football team was the favorite of the audience and in the end the team got a 54-9 victory over Portland State and it definitely validated the expectations of everyone.

Cameron Marshall of Arizona State Sun Devils football team was very impressive, scoring on three of his four carries against Portland State. He collected 104 yards in the process. Another player Deantre Lewis caught three passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the whole game which led the team to its victory. Arizona State head coach Dennis Erickson said that the team had speed and hence they did not face any trouble matching up with the whole situation. The coach seemed excited when he said that 54 points is the most that the team has scored till now.

The coach also added that the players of his team have confidence and they “ran” extremely well. Dennis Erickson was all in praises for Cameron Marshall and said that he played really well. The coach said that Cameron Marshall gave the team pretty “good” balance which helped his teammates as well. He also said that the quarterbacks also ran pretty good when they had the opportunity to run and carry the ball. Initially Arizona State Sun Devils’ receivers dropped passes and then they managed to pick up by scoring a touchdown in five of their next six possessions.
