Glendale, Arizona, Dec 07, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Arizona Cardinals put up a stupendous performance on Sunday night’s game as they literally outplayed their rival opponents and favorites, the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 30-17. The much talked about match which was held at the University of Phoenix stadium, witnessed the Cardinals seemingly dominating the Vikings throughout the match as the latter struggled to gain a foothold in the game.
The biggest drawback of Vikings in the game were their injury concerns. With their ever-reliable middle linebacker E.J.Henderson getting injured, the team had little to do except watch themselves go down like a sinking ship. E.J. Henderson reportedly got injured during the fourth-quarter of the match when he desperately tried to tackle Tim Tower, the running back of the Cardinals. Instead of getting his “tackle” right, Henderson landed himself in a mess as he apparently twisted his leg, thereby forcing himself to stay aloof from the rest of the match. He was soon carted off the field.
Soon after a string of injuries followed with as many as six starters leaving the field after suffering some bruise or the other. Moreover it seems that the Vikings aren’t paying much heed to their offense section which is seemingly a loose one. The team reportedly failed to break through the Cardinals’ defense and thereby were curbed from scoring. For Arizona Cardinals, Larry Fitzgerald put up a stupendous performance at the Phoenix stadium, as the player caught 8 passes for 143 yards and scored a touchdown.
The victory provides the Cardinals with a three game lead with another four games to go in the NFC West series.
