Argentina president wants to clone Messi, Maradona
June 11th, 2010 - 3:12 pm ICT by IANSBuenos Aires, June 11 (DPA) Argentina President Cristina Kirchner has high hopes for her country’s squad at the World Cup in South Africa and suggests that it would be a good idea to clone some of the stars.
When visiting a clone lab in the city of Marcos Paz Thursday, Kirchner joked that it would be a good idea to clone striker Lionel Messi or coach Diego Maradona, local newspapers reported.
“A Messi, a (Gonzalo) Higuain, a (Carlos) Tevez, Maradona, a (Juan Sebastian) Veron, everyone,” Kirchner said.
Scientists work at the lab to clone sheep, goats and pigs.
