Apex court sends notice to CBI in Ruchika case
October 1st, 2010 - 1:46 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 1 (IANS) The Supreme Court Friday issued notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on a petition by former Haryana police chief S.P.S. Rathore, who has challenged his conviction and enhancement of punishment in the Ruchika molestation case.
Rathore, 69, has been convicted of molesting teenaged Ruchika Girhotra, and driving her to suicide. He has been lodged in the Burail jail in Chandigarh since May 25.
