Anthony Morrow To Sign Deal With New Jersey Nets?

anthonyJuly 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Anthony Morrow of Golden State Warriors has reportedly decided to join New Jersey Nets. A reputed sports web portal informed that Anthony Morrow will sign a three year contract deal with New Jersey Nets on Monday, July 12, 2010 as all the discussions between two parties have been finalized already. The player is offered $12 million for the three year deal. The Golden State Warriors will be left with only one week to decide if it wants Anthony Morrow to stay back in their team. It is expected that the player will sign teh contract on Monday.

The restricted free agent guard Anthony Morrow, 24, who has secured a 13 point for himself in the last season was drafted out of the Georgia Institute of Technology in the 2008 National Basketball Association draft. The player, however proved himself and got his recognition when he played for Golden State Warriors. Anthony Morrow is now known as one of the best pure shooters in the NBA. Golden State Warriors is presently going through financial turmoil and hence it is expected that the team will not be able to match New Jersey Nets’ bid for Anthony Morrow.

Anthony Morrow has already proved his mettle in the basketball arena. Anthony Morrow can prove to be beneficial for New Jersey Nets as they have missed out on other high profile players this time. The player is still a sharp shooting free agent which means that the Golden State Warriors still have the opportunity to match the New Jersey Nets’ offer and retain his services in the team.
