Boston, June 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Much acclaimed American R&B singer Anita Baker was successful in creating quite a buzz last night when she performed the national anthem prior to the commencement of Game 4 of the NBA finals.

Although the anticipation regarding the musical artist’s performance had been skyrocketing among all her fans, her rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” on Thursday night did not turn out to be something that they could be very proud of.

It has come to light that during last night’s performance, Anita Baker failed to display her musical expertise that she is normally associated with as she was seen struggling through various notes while singing the song.

Just as the performance began, the 52-year-old musical artist did not seem to be very confident while hitting the key notes as her voice sounded quite shaky before the Game 4 finals between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers last night.

As the musical performance proceeded, Anita Baker was not successful in regaining her control over the song even while her musical rendition was reaching its conclusion.

In the meantime, the unsteady performance showcased by the R&B singer during Thursday night’s Game 4 of the NBA finals has left her large number of fans highly dismayed who took to a social networking site to express their disappointment.

Large of followers of Twitter expressed their shock at the kind of performance displayed by Anita Baker with many of them comparing her voice to that of a dying cat.

The disappointment does come along with surprise as the noted musical artist has won a whopping eight Grammy awards during her musical career.
