Anderson Silva Beats Vitor Belfort In Round 1

Las Vegas, Feb 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) At the UFC 126 last night, Brazilian mixed martial artist Anderson Silva’s front kick stopped his opponent Vitor Belfort at 3:25 of round 1 and earned him the much coveted UFC Middleweight Championship. The fight turned out to be a complete entertaining one and according to some bloggers, it was one of the best matches of UFC. Anderson Silva’s front kick to the chin and two punches left Vitor Belfort on the ground and it was a knockout win for the Brazilian fighter.
The President of UFC, Dana White was all in praises for the winner and in his interview, the President said that he has only seen such a wonderful match in video game. Anderson Silva vs Vitor Belfort fight kicked off slowly as both the fighters tried their best to fight back and win the title. Initially, Vitor Belfort was dominating the bout as he caught his opponent with his left hand and tried to take him down, however, just a few seconds later, the winner fought back with all his strength and took the match on his stride. However, just after few minutes, the front kick of Anderson Silva made it evident that he was the winner of the fight.
In the post match interview, Anderson Silva said that he has always been inspired by actor Steven Seagal’s technique and he practiced that front kick for a long time. The winner said that Steven Seagal’s technique helped him to perfect his own style. Anderson Silva thanked all his trainers for their efforts and said that they helped him a lot. He also thanked his coach for teaching him the kick. However, he was also humble enough to say that the audience should also respect Vitor Belfort, as even before he started his career, the latter was the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.
