London, Nov 28 (ANI): Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti wants to be the next Sir Alex Ferguson by being a manager in the English Premier League for 20 years.
The Chelsea coach, 50, hopes to boss the Blues until he is at least 70.
Ancelotti said: “10 years? Why not 20? My objective is to stay here a long time. I can do this if I do a good job and if the club is happy.”
Ferguson is the longest-serving manager having been in charge at Manchester United since 1986.
And Ancelotti faces Ferguson’s closest rival, Arsene Wenger, when Chelsea meet Arsenal tomorrow.
Wenger has been Gunners chief for 13 years, The Sun reports
“He is one of the best coaches in the world and has done a fantastic job like Ferguson at Manchester United. I’m a young coach. I am an Italian coach. For an Italian coach, it’s very difficult to think about staying at one club more than five years,” Ancelotti said.
“Up to now, the club is happy with the job I’ve done I think. I want to continue and improve. I stayed at Milan for eight years and, for an Italian coach, that was a record. In England, it’s easier to stay at a club for a long time,” he aded. (ANI)
