Fernando Torres London, Apr 24(ANI): Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that Fernando Torres’ goal against West Ham United will herald a new beginning for the striker.

Torres, who joined Chelsea for a British record 50 million pounds transfer fee from Liverpool, scored during Saturday’s Premier League game at Stamford Bridge after a drought lasting 731 minutes and 13 goalless games.

Torres scored in Chelsea’s Premier League game against West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday- first since his 50 million pounds move from Liverpool.

“It was perfect. Everyone waited for Fernando to score and he scored. For him it will be a new life. I think he will have a fantastic future here in this club,” the Sun quoted Ancelotti, as saying.

“The big problem was he came in to a new club and it was not easy to find a relationship with the new team-mates and the play, but now the bad moments have gone,” he added. (ANI)
