Ancelotti claims his Chelsea job is safe
April 12th, 2011 - 12:30 pm ICT by ANILondon, Apr 12 (ANI): Chelsea boos Carlo Ancelotti has said that he will be the club’s boss next season and his future does not hinges on Champions League encounter against Manchester United.
Chelsea is 1-0 down from the home leg and Ancelotti has been tipped for the sack if he misses out on Europe’s big prize.
Ancelotti claimed owner Roman Abramovich will honour the remaining one year left on his contract whatever happens.
“My future is already decided. I don’t have a problem about this game,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.
Asked if that was because he had a year left on his deal, Ancelotti said: “Yes. It’s not important that I have to speak with Roman. When I have a contract, everything is OK with him.”
“The pressure, for me, is not bad. Pressure keeps me concentrated to give my players the possibility to do their best. I’m focused on this. I know it will be difficult but we have possibilities to do a fantastic game. Every one of us, Roman included, hopes everything will be OK,” he added. (ANI)
