American Golfer Erica Blasberg Dies At 25

Nevada, May 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Erica Blasberg an LPGA player died on Monday morning due to some undisclosed reasons. Erica Blasberg died in Henderson, Nevada and was 25 years old. The news of the death of Erica Blasberg has also been confirmed by the LPGA authority which released a public statement on Monday. However both the agent and the LPGA have not disclosed the reasons of the sudden demise of the American golfer. Although her agent has said that the police is investigating the circumstances of her death, no clue as of yet has been provided to the media sources on whether the police is suspecting any foul play in the death of the golfer. The agent of the player, Chase Callahan has even declined to provide any details about the police probe that is being done.
The death of Erica Blasberg, the 25-year-old American golfer has however shocked many. The death occurred overnight. Two weeks ago she played her first LPGA tour event in Mexico and had tied for 44th. The player had remained a successful golfer during her college days and had won six games in two years while she was at the University of Arizona. In 2004 she went to play for the Curtis Cup team. In 2004 she had also entered the vast arena of professional golf.
On Monday, the spokesman of the LPGA, David Higdon said that the death of Erica Blasberg comes as a “tough hit” for the women’s golf team. He also added that the deceased golfer was one of the popular players and a well liked one whose absence would be missed dearly by the team. Meg Mallon an LPGA player on Monday said that she was saddened by the untimely demise of a young life.
