Phil Walker - with two irons and a putter - struck lucky at the sixth hole. His friends were amazed when he then went on and got a second hole-in-one at the tough 17th.

“You wait all your life for a hole-in-one, then two come along all at once. Usually, I end up in the water on the 17th, so just to hit the green would have done me - but to hole it!” ,The Mirror quoted chemist Phil, as saying.

Sunday’s record comes more than a month-and-a-half after 15-year-old golfer Lewis Miller beat odds of 40 million to one to get two holes in one in the same hole and on the same day.

A shocked Lewis hit his first hole in one through a tee shot on the 113-yard third hole at Rushden Golf Club, Northants.

According to The Sun, Lewis was so happy with his achievement, that he returned and did it again.

Lewis, who has a seven handicap despite only taking up golf last year, said he could not believe his achievement.
