Greensboro, North Carolina, Jan 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After facing many trials and tribulations with her professional skating career for the past two years, American skater Alissa Czisny regained her position with a near flawless performance on Saturday leading to his victory at the US Figure Skating Championships. The large number of spectators who had gathered at the Greensboro Coliseum were left asking for more as the figure skater rendered a performance that could best be described as spectacular. Despite the fact that his first national title victory two years ago was marred by controversy, with Saturday’s performance, she silenced all his critics and left no doubts about the fact that she completely deserves the title.
With her amazing feat, the 23-year-old much-acclaimed figure skater sealed her victory with 28.74 points while finishing 7.86 points ahead of the runner-up Rachael Flatt while she ended her performance with a staggering 191.24 points. With the win, Alissa Czisny dashed to the ground Rachael Flatt attempt to register her second national championship in a row as the latter had won the US Figure Skating Championships last year. The 2010 skating national champion tried her best to become the woman since Michelle Kwan to defend the title but she made few mistakes during her performance which thrashed her dream of winning the championship.
While responding to her amazing performance that enabled her to clinch victory, a visibly delighted Alissa Czisny later told reporters that winning the championship was indeed awesome while also expressing her happiness about being able to deliver her very best. However, the only thing that Rachael Flatt had to say was, “That was frustrating.”
