Dec. 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Alina Kabaeva, a former rhythmic gymnastics champion from Russia, has a lot to rejoice this Christmas. While the retirement of her alleged fianc, Vladimir Putin from office, means that she would have more time to spend with him in this festive season, this time, the harbinger of Christmas is a baby boy. Dmitri is the newest arrival in Alina Kabaeva’s family, the baby boy she has given birth to just a few days back.

One of the most successful rhythmic gymnastics to have hailed from Russia, Alina Kabaeva has also dabbled quite successfully in politics. At present, the 26 year old has retired from the field of athletics to become the State Duma Deputee for the party of United Russia. Her affair with the former president, if there is any, has been a clandestine one, with Vladimir Putin very vocally asserting that was nothing going on between the two, after an article raised the curtains on the relationship. On the other hand, just after a few days, rumors surfaced that the diplomat was about to obtain a divorce from his wife in order to be able to marry his sweetheart.

A source close to Alina Kabaeva mentioned commented that she is very happy at being a new and young mother. The insider further reported that the former gymnast had mentioned that she would love to have more children soon. While on the one hand, the name of the father of the child has not yet been declared officially, on the other, it is widely believed that Dmitri must be the love child of Vladimir Putin.
