rodNew York, Aug 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After a long struggle here comes the reward. On Wednesday, 35-year-old Alex Rodriguez became the youngest player to join the 600-homerun club with his magnificent and dramatic homerun that blew the minds off of all those viewers who witnessed the history in making. Alex Rodriguez who is nicknamed as A-Rod celebrated the third anniversary of his striking his 500 homerun by striking the perfect homer to make it 600. He reached the milestone by driving a pitch over the New York Yankee Stadium’s center-field fence and into Monument Park.

However, it is not this single spark that made the Wednesday game interesting. From the very beginning of the game on Wednesday, Alex Rodriguez came up with some good play and provided his team with an early lead over the opponent. In the first innings of the game, his two-run drive put the New York Yankees on a comfortable position and provided an early lead to the team. Alex Rodriguez went 9 for 46 on Wednesday and ended a 12-game drought with his strike. He had not been able to manage a hit in his last 17 at-bats.

Although he took a long time to move from his 599 and reach the mark of 600, there is no doubt about the fact that the mark came on a day which made it all the more special. The player who has seen many ups and downs in his career no doubt is looking forward to make it to the next mark of 700. However, as for the mark of 800, fans of Alex Rodriguez indeed want him to reach that mark as soon as possible while New York Yankees’ manager Joe Girardi added wisely “so much of it depends on health”.
