Albert Pujols Becomes National League MVP Once Again

Albert PujolsDec.04 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Albert Pujols, the renowned baseball player got selected as the National League MVP a few days back. With this he became the first player to touch the record set by Barry Bonds a few years back. The Baseball Writers’ Association of America selected him for the honor by voting. The popular St. Louis Cardinals star won the award for third time. As of now, St. Louis players have bagged a total of 17 MVPs. They are just behind the Yankees. The player has received a whopping $200,000 bonus for winning this award.

The player, who has Spanish origins, was born in the year 1980. He has spent the major part of his career in MLB for the Cardinals team. He is a versatile player and his fielding and base running are matchless among the present generation players of USA. Albert has also earned the love of the fans and critics alike for his sheer professionalism and consistency. He is a player who is not in the game only for money. For him baseball is a passion. The cardinals have benefited significantly from his performance over the years. In his career he has broken many baseball records.

He tied the knot with his spouse Deidre, 9 years back and the couple is blessed with three kids. He became a citizen of USA three years back after clearing the citizenship test with a flawless 100 score. He is a devout Christian and so is his wife. The player also has concern for the underprivileged and that explains why he launched the Pujols Family Foundation 4 years back.
