radAug 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Washington Redskins nose tackle Albert Haynesworth is reported to suffer from rhabdomyolysis owing to which the player has been missing from the practice sessions of his team held last week. The reports about the defensive tackle encountering symptoms of rhabdomyolysis gained mileage after it has been reiterated by multiple sources of the National Football League. According to NFL insiders, Albert Haynesworth was unable to participate in the training sessions of his team for three days owing to his illness due to the ailment.

The tussle between the two-time All Pro and the Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan hogged the limelight on Saturday night when the 29-year-old player slammed the coach for misrepresenting his ailment and attributing the cause of his absence from the practice session to mere headaches without failing to divulge the real facts about his illness. Although Albert Haynesworth clearly hinted that he was suffering from something more than just headaches, he did specifically mention the actual nature of the illness that he has been confronting.

In the meanwhile, the fact that the defensive tackle was able to play in Saturday’s match is being perceived as an indication that the 29-year-old player has been able to recuperate from the condition of rhabdomyolysis, which results in the breakage of the muscle fibers of the body into myoglobin which then enters the bloodstream. Washington Redskins have not responded to the medical condition of the player but it has been reported that coach Mike Shanahan is expected to talk to the reporters following the practice session on Monday.
